The Society holds two student recitals each year. All recitals are held at the Cambrian College Amphitheatre, room 2226. The concert will showcase a variety of performances by:

THE PRE-CONCERT JUNIOR PERFORMERS PROGRAM
The Society is committed to supporting young guitarists in our community and we can think of no better way than allowing them to share the stage with some of the world’s greatest performers. This programme has talented students perform one or two short pieces (5-7 minutes) before each of our professional series concerts.

MASTERCLASSES
The Guitar Society supports the development of up and coming guitarists by sponsoring masterclasses at Cambrian College for college and university level students. Masterclasses are free and open to the public and are often streamed live.

Our goal is to provide a liaison between new learners and professional guitar instructors.

COMMUNITY CONCERT SERIES
The Sudbury Guitar Society organizes concerts throughout the city to bring the guitar to the public. The goal is to expose and present the guitar in new ways to new people in hopes to spark some interest in attending concerts, taking lessons, or simply to enjoy the music in the moment. These concerts are happening in many different venues throughout the region including libraries, schools, retirement homes, hospitals, pubs, and cafés.
