GUITARS ALIVE CONCERT
The annual Guitars Alive Concert features student ensembles from all levels of education including, but not limited to:
  • elementary schools,
  • secondary schools,
  • college and university
Each year a professional guitarist is invited to share the stage with our younger performers.

If you have a student group who would like to perform, please contact our coordinator at keenan.comartin@gmail.com.

THE PRE-CONCERT JUNIOR PERFORMERS PROGRAM
The Society is committed to supporting young guitarists in our community and we can think of no better way than allowing them to share the stage with some of the world’s greatest performers. This programme has talented students perform one or two short pieces (5-7 minutes) before each of our professional series concerts.

If you have a student you would like to recommend please contact us using the contact form below.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT
The Classroom Guitar Educators Advocacy Programme
The Sudbury Guitar Society is pleased to partner and/or assist with classroom guitar music educators who have questions concerning guitar related issues such as:
  • starting a classroom guitar programme,
  • acquiring pedagogically effective classroom guitar resources,
  • obtaining classroom guitar teaching materials,
  • and sponsoring outreach workshops and concerts in their school.
Our aim is to provide resources for school guitar teachers beginning a programme, and to support those educators who already have vibrant programmes.
For more information please contact us using the contact form below.

MASTERCLASSES
The Guitar Society supports the development of up and coming guitarists by sponsoring masterclasses at Cambrian College for college and university level students.  Masterclasses are free and open to the public and are often streamed live.
